Namibia's market-grilled beef bites
Think of it as: Like a Texas barbecue tasting, minus the plates
Hot off the grill, straight into your hand.
What does it taste like?
Smoky, beefy and salty with a chili-salt punch.
SweetSpicySourSaltyFunkSmellTextureJuicy and charred
What is it?
Bite-size beef grilled over charcoal at open-air markets and sold on the spot. Windhoek's Katutura market is famous for it. You dip each piece in a fiery spice salt.
How locals eat it
Bought straight off the grill and eaten standing up with your fingers, often with fat cakes.
