Ingredients
- Beef 500 g
- Leafy greens (spinach, mustard greens, etc.) 2 bunches
- Paracress (brèdes mafana) 1 bunch
- Tomatoes 2
- Onion 1
- Garlic 2 cloves
- Ginger 1 knob
- Salt, a pinch
Can't find it? Paracress is sometimes sold as "toothache plant" or "Spilanthes" seedlings. Without it, a little Sichuan pepper adds the tingle.
How to make it (one way)
- Cut the beef into chunks and brown in oil
- Add onion, garlic, ginger and tomato and fry
- Add water and simmer about 1 hour until the meat is tender
- Add the chopped greens and paracress and simmer 10 minutes
- Season with salt and serve with white rice
