Slow-cooked stew in a cone-lidded pot
Think of it as: Like a slow-cooker stew in a pot shaped like a wizard's hat
What does it taste like?
Fragrant with warm spices, salty-sour preserved lemon and briny olives.
What is it?
Meat and vegetables slow-steamed with very little water in a clay pot with a cone-shaped lid, a Moroccan classic. The pot shares the dish's name. Chicken with preserved lemon and olives, and beef with prunes, are famous versions.Source: Wikipedia
How locals eat it
The pot goes in the middle of the table, and everyone scoops it up with bread (khobz), eating with the right hand.
